OceanSTAR Elite’s Sepat FPSO Project Steel Cutting Ceremony for the E-House Module Successfully Held at Jiangsu Weihua Marine
On 15 October 2026, the steel cutting ceremony for the E-House module of the Sepat FPSO project was held at Weihua Marine’s Qidong base. Representatives from OceanSTAR Elite Group, CM Energy (CMET), China Merchants Heavy Industry (CMHI), and Jiangsu Weihua Marine Heavy Industry attended the ceremony. Following speeches by leaders from both sides, the participants jointly announced the commencement of work and completed the ceremonial first cut, marking that the E-House module has officially entered the construction phase.
The E-House is an important part of the FPSO topside module, undertaking core functions such as electrical control and power distribution. This steel cutting marks the E-House’s entry into the construction execution stage and represents an important project milestone following the strategic cooperation agreement signed between OceanSTAR Elite and Weihua in September this year.
