LDV FSO Naming & Sail-Away Ceremony Successfully Held

On 23 June 2026, OceanSTAR Elite (“OceanSTAR” or “OSE”) proudly held the Naming & Sail-Away Ceremony for the LDV Floating Storage & Offloading (FSO) Facility at Strongwind Shipyard in Tongzhou Bay, Nantong, Jiangsu, China. Representatives from Murphy Cuu Long Bac Oil Co. Ltd. (MCB) , PTSC Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. (PTSC AP) , OSE, ABS , Titan Wind Offshore , the Nantong Municipal Government, and the Tongzhou Bay Demonstration Zone gathered to witness this memorable occasion and celebrate a dual milestone in the project’s journey.

As a key offshore production asset for the LDV Oil Field, the LDV FSO was developed under an EPCC contract and features a storage capacity of 460,000 barrels. Upon entering service, the facility will undertake crude oil storage and offloading operations, providing critical support for the long‑term, stable development of the oil field. The Naming & Sail‑Away Ceremony not only bestowed the vessel with its official identity, but also signified the successful completion of the shipyard construction phase and the beginning of its voyage to the field.

Since construction commenced in February 2025, the project team has achieved a series of key milestones, including steel cutting, keel laying, and vessel launching. Through close collaboration and a shared commitment to excellence, all stakeholders have worked together to deliver the project to the highest standards of quality, safety, and execution. Throughout the construction phase, the project achieved over 1.6 million man‑hours without a Lost Time Injury (0 LTI) , reflecting the team’s unwavering dedication to operational excellence and safety performance.
