FSO PTSC LDV Sets Sail Following High-Quality Delivery in 16 Months
In the early morning of 21 July 2026, the FSO PTSC LDV, delivered by OceanSTAR Elite (OSE) as the EPCC Contractor, set sail from Tongzhou Bay, Nantong, Jiangsu, for its journey to the designated offshore field, under the transportation arrangements of the client, PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC).
Construction of the project commenced on 22 February 2025. Over a highly efficient 16-month execution period, the project team successfully achieved a series of key milestones, including first steel cutting, keel laying, hull construction, major lifting operations, vessel launching, system commissioning and delivery preparation.
On 23 June 2026, the Naming and Sail-Away Ceremony for the FSO PTSC LDV was held at Tongzhou Bay, marking the successful completion of quayside delivery and commencement of the subsequent shipping phase.
Throughout the construction period, the project recorded more than 1.6 million safe working hours without a lost-time incident. The 16-month delivery period demonstrated the project team’s strong execution capabilities across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and overall project management.
The successful delivery of the project was made possible through the trust, support and close collaboration of Murphy Cuu Long Bac Oil Co., Ltd. (MCB), PTSC, the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Titan Wind Offshore and all project partners.
From first steel cutting to quayside delivery, the FSO PTSC LDV completed its journey from blueprint to reality in just 16 months.
